Our restaurant in a beautiful and comfortable environment overlooking the blue Aegean and Portara, offers guests the opportunity to taste Mediterranean and Greek recipes, in an exciting harmony of flavors. Our dishes are made with lots of love, from fresh Naxos products, some of which also come from our own family farm, which we maintain with so much love. In our restaurant you will find wonderful culinary combinations, which with the pure ingredients and fresh raw materials, will take off the senses of even the most demanding palates...

Tastes

Our restaurant offers flavors from traditional Greek, Naxos and Mediterranean cuisine with pure ingredients, local Naxos meats, fresh fish and seafood from the Cyclades.




Appetizers

Our appetizers are based on traditional Greek recipes in a wonderful marriage with modern cuisine. In our kitchen, we use a variety of fresh herbs and pure olive oil that offer a rich flavor and really elevate our dishes. Tzatziki, fava beans from the Small Cyclades, Saganaki from PDO Graviera Naxos and of course the famous Naxos potatoes, are just some of the options available to you.

Salads

You can choose from a variety of fresh cool salads, which are prepared with organic vegetables from the land of our beautiful place and of course from our farm. Our salads are rich in flavor and intense aromas and capture subversive combinations in a perfect harmony for the palate.

Cooked

Every day we offer a range of cooked food with a local Naxian character for you to choose from. Rosto Apirathitiko is a traditional recipe for braised pork, garlic, salt, pepper and freshly cooked spaghetti. Also, in our restaurant we cook the famous Kalogeros of Naxos, a recipe with beef, eggplant, male Naxos cheese, tomato and fresh thyme for the aroma.

On the grill

During your visit to our restaurant, you have the opportunity to taste on your plate the specialties that we prepare for you on the grill. Our fresh local meats include burgers, pork steak, beef steak as well as chicken breast.

Seafood

The sea that surrounds our Cyclades and the entire Greek land offers us wonderful and tasty treasures. Enjoy grilled or cooked fresh fish and seafood with a chilled glass of ouzo.

Desserts

At the end of your meal or dinner, you can enjoy a delicious chocolate soufflé, fresh orange pie and milk pie made from Naxos milk, and for those who love healthy eating, fresh seasonal fruit.

The bar by the pool is the right place to relax at all hours of the day, thanks to the idyllic atmosphere created by the pleasant music and the enchanting scenery. Couldn't be happier with our choice of the Golden Sun Hotel. We did a lot of research trying to find a home base for our family of 4 during our two night stay on Naxos. The Golden Sun was perfect. We rented a car. Parking was free and easy. All that Naxos had to offer was easily accessible. Great beaches close by. The rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was basic, but good enough to start our day. Pool was large and well kept. The service was amazing. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. We have to thank Alexandra at the front desk for that. Alexandra was one of the friendliest people we ever met. Keep doing what you are doing at the Golden Sun. We hope to be back!

We cannot say enough good things about our stay at Golden Sun! The grounds, rooms, pool, and setting are stunning. The bed was extremely comfortable, air conditioning/wifi/shower worked perfectly! Everything was very clean, too. The location was spectacular as we had views of the town as well as close proximity to the most stunning, sandy beaches. We are two friends in our early twenties on holiday and found no shortage of fun things to do while staying here. We reccomend hiring an ATV to see the island and make your trip down to the beach less than 5 minutes! :) Finally, the true magic of Golden Sun is the staff. Alexandra (the receptionist) was so pleasant, attentive, and helpful during our stay and easily helped us with our ATV rental. Vicky prepared amazing food at the hotel and was so lovely to chat with. The two boys (sorry, we did not catch their names) in the evenings were so friendly and fun. Finally, we adore Maria! She is a true gem and made are stay at Naxos unforgettable.

I highly commend its customer service as their staff like, Alexandra, Maria and Georgia are very welcoming and friendly. They always extend their hands for any assistance we need. Food in the restaurant is also great and tasty. Maria offered to us their menu of the day which is Stuffed Zuchini and it didn’t fail us. We all loved it. Room is spotless. Very well-maintained and linens are fabulous! Very comfy accommodation. Beach is just a few meters walking from the hotel you can actually see it on top outside your room. Buffet breakfast is fabulous too and we really loved it. Hopefully, next year we will comeback on this hotel. It is highly commendable. Thanks Golden Sun Naxos for the wonderful experience we had.

The highest value for money!
The room was perfect, very nicely decorated, clean and equipped with whatever is required.
And even more that this! For example, in the bathroom, there was a separate shower cable just next to the toilette. Or there were 2 hair dryers. And other details, that make the difference.
Breakfast also was perfect! A wide variety and most of them homemade.
Last, but not least, staff was very helpful, especially Alexandra, the receptionist was amazing! Very helpful and friendly.
If I go to Naxos again, I will definitely stay at Golden Sun Hotel!

Rich and healthy breakfast, impeccable staff, who satisfied all the wishes of the guests with smile and courtesy, excellent training of reception staff, who also gave us further information to move comfortably in the archaeological area and the wider area. Beautiful property. Absolutely loved the staff. The food was exceptional. Our stay was perfect. Not too far of a walk to the bus into the old town. Our hot tub was cleaned every day. Fresh bedding put on every day. We only left this morning and are already looking to book again.
